A Night of Blessing

Thank you for your continued support of Crossroads Ministries. The banquet provided a wonderful evening of blessing and we are grateful to the Lord for His presences. Our gratitude also overflows to all of you who joined us in our 15 Days of Prayer event. Our most valued resource is the prayer of the saints on our behalf!

With 240 people in attendance, we know that there are testimonies and stories yet to be shared. Why not drop us a line and tell us about your experiences in prayer and at the banquet. We love hearing from you and together we can exalt the Lord for His mighty works.

“Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Tim. 1:17

Day 15 - BANQUET DAY!

Day 15 : Crossroads Ministries Banquet Tonight

The day has arrived! Thank you for your prayers. Do not forget to share with us your thoughts about our prayer time, and if you attend the banquet, you thoughts on how God answered our prayers.

“And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the Lord, he arose from before the altar of the Lord, from kneeling on his knees with this hands spread up to heaven. And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying, Blessed be the Lord, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us: That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers. And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the Lord, be nigh unto the Lord our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant and the cause of his people at all times, as the matter shall require. That all the people of the earth may know that the Lord is God and that there is none else. Let your heart therefore be perfect with the Lord our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.” I Kings 8:54-61

Day 14 - Banquet Prayer

Day 14: Pray special anointing on Kay and Jerry

Pray that the word the Lord gave Kay and Jerry concerning the finances for the ministry this year will be fulfilled at this event.

“Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.”

Hebrews 6:14, 15

Jehovah Jirah, we humbly come before You today asking for the financial needs of Crossroads Ministries. Father, this is Your ministry and we thank You for raising up Kay and Jerry to lead it. You spoke to them concerning the finances for this year and we take You at Your word. Use the people attending the banquet to make Your promises come to pass. You are the provider and have said You will bless and multiply regardless of what the world around us says. There is no financial crisis too great for You; no recession You can’t conquer; inflation doesn’t stop the work of Your might hand. As we stand back and watch the moving of Your Holy Spirit on behalf of Crossroads Ministries, may we be quick to give You the honor and glory You are so deserving of. We praise You and thank You, even now, and it’s in Jesus name that we pray. Amen.

Day 13

Day 13: Pray for the Lord’s abundance in every area of the event

We are looking for the Lord’s presence in the music, DVD, in the dinner and pray that all who attend will feel His presence in a life-changing way.

“… Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!...” I Chronicles 4:10

Lord, we ask for a special anointing on the banquet. That every part of the evening would bring honor to You and in turn bless each person in attendance in a life-changing way. Let no one leave the event without being made completely aware of the needs of the elderly and the ministry opportunities available to them. We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus. Amen.

Day 12 - Prayers for Banquet

Day 12: Pray for the safety of those attending the event.

Pray that there will be no accidents or delays to those attending the banquet.

“My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.” Psalm 5:3

Loving Savior, We ask for the safety of everyone attending the banquet. Put a hedge of protection around them and guide them safely to the event. We ask this in Your precious name, Amen

Day 11 - 2009 Banquet Prayers

Day 11: Pray for the night of the banquet

Pray that all the costs are covered and the program flows smoothly. Pray that there will be no unexpected delays. Pray for everyone involved in the program, the equipment to be used and that the hotel will have everything prepared.

“Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer and attend to the voice of my supplications.” Psalms 86:6

Heavenly Father, we come before You today asking for a smooth flowing program. You be the director and orchestrator of the evening. We bind the enemy and any attacks that might try to stop or hinder the banquet. Protect everyone involved in the program. Guard the equipment to be used and allow the hotel to provide the best possible service. That this might be an evening entirely for Your honor and glory from start to finish. Amen.

Day 10 - Prayer for 2009 Banquet

Day 10 : Pray for the dinner conversations

Pray for the dinner conversations to be anointed. Pray the Lord will have His will over the conversations and that the attendees will be blessed even with those they will be sitting by.

“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:19,20

Lord, we ask today for the conversations that will be taking place during the banquet. Your word tells that that You will be in the midst of those that are gathered in Your name and where ever You are is holy ground. May those in attendance have a tangible feeling of your Holy Spirit and speak words of blessing and praise. In Jesus name. Amen.

Day 9 - Prayer for Banquet

Day 9: Pray for the financial needs of the ministry

Pray that the Lord will provide all the financial needs for the ministry. That all who attend will be generous and that the Lord will bless each of them beyond what they can even imagine.

“Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel… Concerning the work of my hands command ye me.” Isaiah 45:11

Holy One of Israel, over and over again in Your word we see how You provided for your people—manna in the wilderness, water from a rock, loaves and fishes into baskets of provision—and we are asking for that type of blessing on Crossroads Ministries right now. Lord, these are difficult economic times and yet You have promised to provide for our needs. We are taking You at Your word.
Bless those who attend the banquet. May they give from the abundance of blessing that You pour out on them. May they give sacrificially knowing that it is being given to You and Your work. And, Father, through their obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit may they be blessed beyond measure; above and beyond what they can even imagine. It is for Your kingdom that we ask all this. Amen.

Day 8 - Prayer for Banquet

Day 8: Pray that the message of Jesus Christ is clear

Pray that the Lord Jesus Christ and “the Cause” are the clear center of the event. Pray that the message is clear and attendees’ hearts will be moved by the Holy Spirit.

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that , if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us; and if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” 1 John 5: 14, 15

Lord, we are praying for a successful evening--an entertaining and informational evening--but it all means nothing if You’re not at the center of it all. Father, let your name be lifted up in not only what we say but in our actions and interactions. We don’t want the focus to be on Crossroads or on any individual. Our desire is to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Him the reason we minister to the elderly. Prepare the hearts of those who need You most. May the evening be a time of ministry lead by the Holy Spirit. In Jesus name, Amen.

Day 7 - Prayer for Banquet

Day 7: Prayer for the care center residents, staff, family members and chaplains to be blessed by this event.

This year we will be blessed by the presence of residents and staff from care centers at the banquet. Pray they will hear the heart of God and Crossroads.

“Do not cast me off in the time of old age; Do not forsake me when my strength fails.” Psalms 71:9

Father, what an blessing You have given us in the elderly. They are a treasure that too few have sought after. Thank you for raising up the ministry of Crossroads to work for and with these treasured people. Bless the care center residents. May they feel Your presence around them. Give wisdom to the staff, patience to family members and a love without measure to the chaplains who minister to the residents. We ask for a special anointing on those residents and staff that will be attending the banquet. May it be a night of renewal and a reminder of just how precious each and every one of them is in Your sight. Humbly we ask through Your son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Day 6 - Crossroads Banquet Prayer Request

Day 6: Pray for those attending the banquet

Pray for the attendees at the banquet. Pray they will listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and be blessed by all that is shared. Pray their hearts will be open to hear what the Spirit is saying.

“With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on alert with all perseverance and petition for the saints.” Ephesians 6:18

Loving heavenly Father. We ask today for all those who will be attending the banquet. Make it a time of renewal and blessing in You and a time of rekindling a passion for the elderly. May hearts be opened to the Spirit’s leading. We ask in Jesus name. Amen.

Day 5 - Banquet Prayer

Day 5: Pray for the staff and other guests at the hotel

Pray that this event will be a testimony to the hotel staff and guests. That they might see the light of Jesus and a love for the elderly and forgotten.

”Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.” Romans 12:11,12

Father, You have called us to be salt and light in this world. We ask that You would let our light shine forth as we work with the hotel staff during the banquet and as we interact with other guests. Let them see a difference in the people who are called Your children. Provide us with opportunities to answer any questions they may have about the ministry of Crossroads and about a relationship with you. Amen.

Day 4 - Praying for the Banquet

Day 4: Pray for those who have been invited

Pray for the guest who have been invited to attend the banquet. It is difficult when people say they will attend and then do not. Pray that the Holy Spirit will remind them of their commitment.

“I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.” Psalm 40:1

Lord, today we lift up all those people who have been invited to attend the banquet. Nudge them with your Holy Spirit to return their RSVP cards. And, once they have committed to coming to the dinner, let nothing and no one stop them from attending. May an awareness of the needs of the elderly be brought to their attention and may many be called to serve. This we ask in Your name. Amen.
Day 3: Pray for the Table Hosts

Pray that the Table Hosts will have the anointing of Christ. Pray for wisdom and discernment to ask all of the right people to sit at their tables.

“Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving… that God would open unto us a door…” Colossians 4:2,3

Father, today we lift up all of the men and women who have graciously agreed to be Table Hosts. May the Holy Spirit direct who they should invite and may those who are invited be impacted by the ministry of Crossroads and Your calling to minister to the elderly. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen.
